NEW ORBITAL HIGHWAY, CONTRACT 2

The New Orbital Highway Contract 2 came from intentions to bypass Doha City by connecting Salwa Road and North Relief Road, this will relieve the existing traffic congestion that is expecting to increase in the future.

NOH2 is located in the northwest of Doha, this superstructure consists of ten lanes (five lanes in each direction) for light vehicles with additional collectors/distributor roads.

The road network provides access to the existing and planned developments by way of eight interchanges. NOH2 connects local roads and existing highways with various types of civil structures, this includes bridges, viaducts, underpasses, and tunnels that integrate pedestrian and bicycle paths along the entire route.

SYSTRA IBT is responsible for the preliminary and detailed design of three junctions totaling 20,000 m² of deck, construction engineering, and support.
